New bike here we go
have just ordered an 2009 Ironhorse bootleg 2.0 in the hope that it will bring my times down well below the times im doing currently on my 2006 Norco six one ( 42 min dam laps ) so that I will be able to enter in some races socially before too long and be somewhat competitive so that the next event doesnt need to wait for me to finish before starting.

Will be good to see something other than the usual suspects out on the trails - a different brand is always interesting to see.
Looks like it reviewed well too which is a bonus
yeah thanks, looking forward to picking it up and having a play
how much does it weigh it looks like a light frame ?
not sure as have not got it yet but its pretty light and much lighter than my Norco.
I went from a Norco Six 3 to a Trance X0 and loved it. It felt like I was on roids on the first ride as the Six 3 was 17kg and the X0 just under 12kg.
True Brian, but that was hardly comparing apples for apples. The Six was always on the rougher end of the AM scale. I would agree that a frame weight difference of 5kg is simply amazing. And the time difference in a race will similarly be amazing. As a concept, who would think that 5kg on a bike would make that much of a differecne?
(I was always so disappointed that you sold out on Team Norco. There were not enough of us as it was. Join us again, when you are ready.)
litty ditty, I joined team Norco a couple of weeks ago, bought a 2009 Atomik.
@Little-Ditty - What brand is your XC bike?
Liam, I wouldn't have sold out of Team Norco but at home I can't get Fiona to understand the N+1 formula. She believes it should be N+1-1
Time to W-1 Brian?
<Very T.I.C.>
Rob, I have no idea what you mean by W-1 or what < Very T.I.C. > means
Tongue In Cheek...
ahhh I see but doesn't (W-1) = (N*50%)
On your pre-nup...
The thread direction has given me a good laugh. haha
It'll be interesting to see how your MD lap time will improve by the bike swap.
Anyone seen any notable improvements in their times going from a heavy to a light rig?
yeh i did a couple of rides a month ago on a mates bike which was a lighter XC rig and i dropped 3mins without even pushing it as it wasnt my bike
So when do you take delivery?
