Images in classifieds

Just now I've added the ability to allow classified posters to include images of their items. Probably long overdue, sorry for the delay Eye-wink

Eg, those sexy SLR wheels:

Classified listings now feature thumbs if the poster makes use of this feature:

It should be pretty self explanatory how this works (click 'Browse', click 'Upload'... repeat until done) but as usual, shout out with any issues you see.

P.S. While we're on the subject, don't forget to come back and withdraw your ads. when they are no longer needed (click the link top of your post - you have to be logged in to see this).

Excellent. I'll will be loading the images for my Trance X0 today. You could do what they do on carsales and make you validate the ad every 30 days otherwise it automatically gets withdrawn. You could have a status that indicates this to show the it was an automatic one.

fab work Rob, is this why Pivot and I didn't see you for our fun Dam ride this morning?

BTW Can we have this feature on all posts? And/or an option to enter an image URL too?

Rob's picture

Yeah... that's a good excuse Eye-wink

It's possible to allow image (or other) attachments to any kind of post I guess, but won't that be confusing?

Rob's picture

Hey... confusing or not, have been mulling this over and think it is a good idea.

That being the case, have turned on image attachments for forum topics and blog posts just now.

An example of what happens when you attach images is here:

In the future this may well change to have more of a 'gallery' look - a single area with thumbs below that changes a preview image based on hover. Well - maybe. Let's see how it goes first.

I take it this only works at the point of creation i.e. not applicable to replies?

Yup... no image attachment in comments.
