Where: Jamieson Park, Narrabeen.
When: 7:00am start, Tuesday mornings
What: Loop ride, more or less following the water's edge, approx 1 hour.
Out-and-back singletrack option at Deep Creek, adds about another half hour.

Terrain:
Main circuit: mostly flat hardpack, some road along the Parkway. Bring the cyclocross bike if you're into that sort of thing.
Deep Creek singletrack: some hardpack, some loose soil. Tight and twisty, a few ramps over fallen trees - the way singletrack should be.

Nothing that could be called a hill either - it's pretty flat for the entire ride.

The main loop is a good chance to get non-bikers / beginners hooked on riding the dirt.
The Deep Creek section should provide a bit of a challenge for all, and some fun for more experienced riders.

Pace: moderate, unless everyone wants to go fast.

Start point directions:
From Pittwater Rd:
turn west onto Mactier Street at the traffic lights. (Just south of the Fire Station.)
Head up over the hill, keep heading straight until the road comes close to the water's edge. Stick close to the water, then turn right - just before the road heads sharply left and uphill towards War Vets / Cromer Heights.

From Cromer Heights:
Head down Veterans Parade towards the lake. At the very bottom of the steep downhill section, turn left instead of following the road around to the right.

There are parking ticket machines, but I haven't seen an inspector yet, only council trucks emptying the bins. Unrestricted parking on the Esplanade is also available.

I won't be there every week, as work is playing silly buggers with my roster, but there are usually a few people out anyway.

Riders welcome: Anyone and everyone!

Hey - this all looks a bit too professional Eye-wink

Do you really do it every week as an open invite? It's a shame I can't really [ should I insert, "be arsed to" Eye-wink ] ride in the mornings, but hope someone around here will join you!

Oh yeah, we're going the other way around tomorrow, just because we can. Finishing on dirt is more fun anyway.
