100 Miles of what? its great that they are organizing a race (and that's not an easy thing) but I just don't get the point of these guys asking for big bucks to enter a 100mile race without giving an adequate description of the course.. 100 miles of flat fire trail? 100 miles of sweet single track, 100 miles of billy goat track and 4000M vertical??? I mean there's a reason that all the well known MTB races sell out quicker than a "ACDC" concert....

Want to do the normal fling first but I was too slow to get an entry but I will score one when all the soft .... put theirs up for sale.

@Obmal... the Fling course is well know. There are 3 sectors:

- Penrose #1
- Wingello
- Penrose #2

The Half Fling riders do Penrose #1 & #2. The Full Fling is all 3. The 100 mile fling riders do Wingello loop twice before heading on to Penrose #2.

The Wingello course has some very nice sniggle. There are pockets of it in Penrose. Although a lot of it is double track & fire trail, the firetrails in Penrose are also pretty nice, eg:

Lush Double Track

I think Obmal is referring to the Blackheart event.

This is the only info so far -

The course and course profile will be revealed closer to the event, but is contained almost exclusively within the Bodalla State Forest.

Put Pub Hill Farm into Google maps and have a look at the aerial photo. Gives you a pretty good idea of the terrain around there. Not much single track that I've heard of, but the topography is gonna be more like Angry Doctor than Husky.

40% Fire trail (good and rough)
40% Double track and Single trail
20% Singletrack

a couple of photos of the current stuff: (ungroomed - these will all be groomed in the lead up to the race)
