Any preferred routes of cascades to take?
Don't forget to have a go at the Quarry track hot lap challenge, would be a shame not too

Will join if I get my bike in order...
Would anyone mind if i change the time back half an hour (8:30 start)?
Ill change it for now and if anyones has any problems ill change it back
8:30 is fine by me, I don't know my way around in there, so I'm happy to go wherever. I hear it's hilly.
Ur not far off, it does get quite vertical especially quarry track. Although it might end up that we go down there in reverse its a lotta fun at speed, quite technical with loose rock and a few nice corners thrown in. YUMMMM!
Jono
Where do you start from?
Belrose or St Ives?
St ives
thanks Jono,
i should have actually just read the ride meeting info. Clearly says "Acron Rd, St Ives"
See you there 0830
at this stage so I'm going to take myself off the list. My young bloke comes back from a week away tonight, so he might not have recovered enough for a start that time of day, and I want to do an easy ride with him Saturday.
So if I'm not there on time don't wait for me.
Yes, it's hilly. Quarry track makes Heartbreak Hill look like a short pinch climb. A great track to test your fitness.
Hey Jonathon. Would really like to go and see new bike. Not sure I can get across to Acron by 8:30am. I havent been out for a month now. If I can make it I will but dont wait for me. Did you get a medium or a large?
the bike out b4 you tackle this ride even tho it is a regular route for you on the other bike , it will make a considerable amount of difference , would love to come too but too far that hour of the morning plus bike is in the shop getting the front forks looking at plus other things . Enjoy the ride I know you will, might catch you at a race meet soon ?
Haven't ridden cascades yet, so happy to fit in with wherever you go. See you at 8.30
If it helps i can push it back 30 min to 9:00am, just let me no if i must. I did get the medium size frame by the way. After riding the trance and then riding my rockhopper i now realize the rockhopper is a lot bigger. One thing i did notice between the 2 bikes is that i think the rockhopper turns in a bit faster :S or maybe thats me talking rubbish, but the trance is more stable and confident.
And to answer your question smiley. WOOOOOOW ive been riding this thing till death, every single chance i get i ride it. I did a little bit of cascades the other day on it and its so plush! Its much lighter then my hardtail aswell which means its a bit more chuckable, also the grip from the rear suspension is an unbelievable difference! Im always looking for the rockiest section through the trails now
Hope to see everyone there tomorrow. Btw has anyone else who is riding familiar with cascades because maybe we can ride down to wyatt avenue (never been there before) and my sense of direction isint great (even with the stuff i no ).
Thanks
Jono
top reviews in a mountain bike mag last issue , so the trance is a good buy , even tho I haven't got full potential out of mine yet , wait till I get it back after the shock service hope it will be a lot better then . Have a good one guys
Sure will. Thanks for your help btw on my quest for suspension, which turned into a bike appreciate it
