Am thinking of going to Canberra for the October long weekend. I have never riden there before and am extermely keen to have an explore. I am looking for advice from those that have been there and done it and interest from anyone that maybe keen to join us. I would really like to camp - is this an option and if so where abouts - it would be nice to kick back and have a few beers around a fire if possible.

You have to check out Majura, gullies, jumps, balance beams, 90%+ single track etc. It's a MTB playground. Nothing like it in Sydney. I would ride there every day if I could.

Steve I'm good for 2 days of canberra, allthough i have been there i really do not know my way around,maybe you could get some info on their site" the Berm" ask some of the locals where to camp.

Canberra on the Norhern end I think it is the Carotel , you can do Majura , Sparrow & Mt Stromlo
