Pony club to Berowra return
The end of Schofield Parade, Pennant Hills. At the start of the fire trail which leads toward the pony club - cant miss it.
A mate and I are planning on repeating a ride we did a few weeks back. Here's the GPS track from the last ride... . By the way it's called Crash! cos I stacked pretty hard after hitting a waterbump all wrong when coming back down the fire trail at the far end of the ride...
It starts at the pony club in Pennant Hills before heading down fire trails toward the firestation at Cherrybrook. From there more fire trails out to the end of Purchase Drive then onto a bit of fun single track (not long but interesting). A few loops there then off road all the way to New Line Road then along the road through Dural and onto Quarry Road. At the end of Quarry Road it's into Berowra Valley for more fire trails. This area has been described really well in the 'rides' section. Lots of hills to keep you honest and then a bit of fun coming down. Just don't screw up full speed and go over the bars!
Once at the end a quick break and back again to the Pennant Hills area - I'm in West Pennant Hills so wont be returning to Schofield Parade unless there's anyone needing guiding back, which I'm happy to do.
The ride all up will be between 50-60 kms - depending on how many loops we throw in and how we're feeling - and I reckon it'll be around the 4-5hr mark. The idea with this is a bit of last minute training before the Angry Doctor in a weeks time. No one will be in too much of a hurry - it's not a race - but anyone joining needs to be able to ride the distance at a reasonable pace.
Give me a call if you want any more info - 0420-461-831 (Hamish). Otherwise see you there if you're keen.
By the way, if it's raining I ain't riding.
Were you there and have a story to tell?

I love the irony in "just don't screw up full speed and go over the bars." and the name of the ride "Crash"
Hope the bike's all right at the hospital
Tristan
Yes - the bike's in the shop now and getting patched up for the big race this weekend. I also have a few patches myself!
Tristan, it was nice to ride with you
