hpoefully the weather holds out
couldn't you have made it this weekend?
that weekend is no good for me and i really wanted to go
Alot of people are riding the Fling, myself included.
I'm working this weekend
it might not be dry enough for this weekend- if it dries I might have a ride out there Sat. or Sun not sure yet check on Friday night
I will be heading straight up from my Road ride with NSCC, which should finish around 8.30amish which means I should have plenty of time, however if I am running a little late and the ride is on, I will give you guys a call.
No worries. We can always do a shorter lap to warm up if anyone is running late. PM me if you need my number.
Can't do this ride now have some injuries that need resting.
sound good John, what happend?
Been like up there?
again!-was sunny Tues arvo -grey & rainy Wed morning-who knows?
Nah, I'm looking at the forecast now they have revised down the amount of rain so it should be ok.
Doesn't look like I'm going to have my Cannondale for this either because my shock has been sent back to the importers and they've had it for 2 weeks and still haven't touched it. Not happy at all.
are they going to have the shok ready for next week
Who knows. They said it was going to be ready last week. I just sent the importer an email saying WTF is going on. Worst case I will use a back up bike.
due to personal commitments, have to leave this one for next time. have a good ride
Been checking BOM and it looks like it has been ok up there, so possibly could be on?
Im up for a few laps. see you guys there!
I believe my shock left Melbourne this afternoon so depending how it was sent I may have it for Saturday.
I just picked my bike up so now the weather just needs to behave itself
has been a low cloud over Watagan's all day-what does NobMob weather tech say?
I'm keen and will be going.
Will be there too with my lad. Not too sure of arrival time but will see you out there on the track. So if you see a 15yo on an Avanti pass I should turn up around 10 minutes later.
Will probably get there around 9.30 , do a warm up lap than relax for a while and wait for others to arrive,
have to head off at about 1.30 pm, see you there.
Once I have had my coffee and cake with NSCC I should be on the road by 9am and get there by 11am!
if you chew the crap out of the trails will I see you at the next trail day?-my concience is clear!-was blue skies in Newcastle this arvo , has come over cloudy tonight.
cant make this any more. have fun
will anybody be going out there for a ride sunday I'm working today so sunday arvo only chance I'm gunna get.
HMBA has cancelled its club round tomorrow and will instead be having an urgent build day to repair the trail after the last few weeks bad weather and club enduro a few weeks back.
We will be starting at 7 and working till its done so the track is good for the enduro next week.

Thanks for the ride guys. The first lap was a struggle as I can take a little to warm up. The second I was feeling good until my bike broke . I'm not having much luck with this one. Will hit the bike shops tomorrow to see if I can get some derailleur parts.
Also picked up a few leaches as well. Managed to catch a couple on my socks but missed the sucker that attached to my back.
found some blood n stuff under my sock when I got home had no Idea I was a victim, had a good ride though allways fun at Awaba looking forward to the race next week, good luck finding the parts Brian see you up there .
Your best off not knowing about the leeches until they drop off.
I spray my legs, socks and shoes with insect repellant. Seems to work really well but it also helps if you don't stop in the lower areas.
Trail building tomorrow so I'll probably loose a few liters of blood.
Today's profile. Not sure why it shows me below sea level
Went out today and had my legs torn off lol.
Well the news is not good. Pulled my derailleur off this morning as well as the top main screw being stuffed, it has broken a couple of pins and the main body is bent. As X0 are serviceable hopefully I can get the parts and should find out tomorrow.
It's always tricky to get the matching colour....
....here's one in green

Hans, I ordered a green one of jensonusa and it shipped Tuesday morning and arrived this morning so I'm all good.
was not fully dry/wet that day as rain backed off!
Yeah but I can't remember it being a wet track.
"I am keen & will be going"-even after some warnings of a possible wet track
Yes but was the track too wet to ride? No, so I don't know what you are referring to.
Knowing how well Awaba handles wet weather you can judge how wet the track is just by the nobmob weather page. Even after the amount rain leading up to the 8 1/4 hour the track was still dry. Some tracks on the other hand need to be avoided after a heavy dew
PS. After riding Ourimbah when it was obviously too wet and a tree jumped out in front of me I decided when its crazy wet I wouldn't ride. Does this mean I'll never* ride a track when its too wet, probably not
* Never say never when posting on the internet
"personally I would stay off but thats just me"-in the comment on the x-mas rant?
I was referring to the trails that don't handle the rain.
