Anybody seen this?

The council are thinking about putting some MTB trails in Ingleside Chase Reserve...

... which is not exactly new news as we've discussed (see One more week for comments on Ingleside Chase Reserve PoM).

Odd.

Er, where is that? Is it that bush land to the right going down McCarrs Creek road?

No, the bush either side of McCarrs Creek Road is all part of Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park.
This reserve is the escarpment slope behind (west) Warriewood/Mona Vale, between Mona Vale Road and Powderworks Road.
The Ingleside Chase Reserrve isn't large enough to accomodate an isolated loop trail like Manly Dam. Aslo, its very steep - think of the bit of Mona Vale Road from Ingleside down to the Cemetery!
The only viable option that I see for Council is to maybe use it as part of a link from Narrabeen Lagoon to Terrey Hills. It may be possible to cut a trail from the Reseve's south-eastern corner that is connected to Irrawong Reserve through to the Warriewood Wetlands & Narrabeen Lagoon.
And from the top north-western corner you could possibly cut another trail alongside Mona Vale Road along to Chiltern Road. This'd make it possible to then get into the existing KCNP &/or Terry Hills trails.

LadyToast, I think it is the patch of bush that runs from Garden, McPherson and Boundary Sts Warriewood back up the hill until you hit Mona Vale Rd. Check this link in google maps and I am pretty sure this is the spot. Called Ingleside Park and Warriewood escarpment

Actually that bush is an excellent area for a trail. Of course it would take good planning for it to be successful.

There is already a trail in there that is reasonably easy, at least no harder than manly dam. Then there are also some big jumps etc as well. It goes down to behind Mater Maria.

Yeah, that's it Cambo. It follows the property line from the back of Ingleside rd, Wesley st (off Powderworks), cuts back down to Irrawong rd, around the back of Marta Maria, then over to Mona Vale rd. Two creeks flow into it, and merge into one that becomes the little waterfall/billabong down near Irrawong rd. The two green areas there are actually joined and are one.

Regarding the motorbikes, there are very few motorbikes that go in there, it's not big enough for them. It's more young Dirtjump guys making jumps that turn into ridiculously large unrideable things. This mainly happens down the bottom near the school.
