Does a Hope Bottom Bracket fit a 2007 Specialized Enduro?
Hi parts gurus...
I am planning to replace/upgrade the Bottom Bracket for my 2007 Specialized Enduro Pro Carbon. This is the first ever change to the BB, so I was wondering if the Hope Bottom Bracket MTB - Ceramic with 68/73mm shell fits this Carbon frame? The measured width of my frame is ~ 73 mm. Current BB is Shimano stock.

2007 models were before the BB30 standard. What cranks are you running - Truvative need an small adapter from Hope for Gigapipe axles which you can also get from Chainreaction. Shimano work fine I believe.

I'm running stock Shimano XT M760 Hollowtech II cranks on the Enduro. So I 'hope' I'm fine with the Hope BB ...

Just be aware there are sometimes small (very small) differences between brands. For example, I couldn't get the FSA crank spindle on my hardtail to go through a 2010 Shimano XT BB. There would have been 1 or at most 2 thousandths of an inch in it, but there was no way it was going to let me get the shaft all the way through. The chainrings were about 6mm too far to the right becasue the shaft wouldn't go all the way home through the plastic inner sleeves. Yet both brands are nominally 24.0mm shaft diameters.
After that experience and expense I'd go with a Shimano BB. I'd offer you mine but I've mangled it a bit trying (too hard) to make it go together.
Hans, as you may know I use Hope product exclusively and, conveniently I have lots of Specialized experience. The answer is yes, you may use a Hope bottom bracket in your bike.
