Wingello
4Km SW of Wingello village on Caoura Rd there's a small base camp within the forest - seems as good a place as any.
Hi - I'm hitting up Wingello on Sunday morning. If I'm completely honest, its gonna be a bit fast for most peoples sunday ride - I dont wanna sound like a @#$% but 20kph is a fair indication of average speed for 3hrs.
I'll ride the red loop twice (the one including the wall) and probably some other bits.
I'm happy to cruise some bits as a group, but there will be sections where I am gonna be gunning it a bit. Probably 2 or 3 x 5-10mins efforts.
If you're keen, it would be great to have some company. If you are worried about pace, flick me a pm.
Were you there and have a story to tell?

So - no one fancied a fast ride through Wingello. I hit it up by myself and had a lovely ride - apart from when I was descending at somewhere close to 50kph only to see the branch i was intending to hop start to slither away!
I had to hop it, so chose the tail end of the dirty black thing. I got as much height as possible and got away with it.
As you can imagine, for the rest of the ride, every rustle or crunch I heard in the bushes completely freaked me out!
Lovely hot day, good tanning, and fast riding. Ideal.
Bl00dy injury
I remember being in a gully in Wingello with black cockys everywhere - beautiful spot
Keep posting rides as I am keen to do the next fast one at Wingello or Great North Road.
I couldn't make this one due to some previous commitments (also can't guarantee 20kph for 3 hours but willing to try).
