I know its not really bike related, but I saw another one of these on a ride at Terrey Hills.
I almost rode clean over it and when I did pull up next to it it didn't even flutter.....until I touched it!!!
It then started to move in a wave motion which looked amazing.
I also saw heaps of ghekkos, a scorpion!!!! and big ass grass hoppers everywhere.

Of course you were only 'handling it' to move it off the track to safety right?

Wouldn't want any fuddy duddies accusing us of messing with nature.

There are a lot of snakes around at the moment. I am guessing that they are going through their final throws of mating and having babies before it starts getting too cold. I live near the Dam and we had a Green Tree Snake visiting for a few days, living in our roof, but it seems to have moved on. Went for a ride around the Dam, yesterday morning and saw two snakes, one black snake (they take off very quickly!) and one diamond python that was happy to leisurely crawl across the track and was in no hurry.

I am certain that means there are browns around as well so be wary and whack a compression bandage in your pack just in case!

I think that wave motion is the snakes way of telling you to 'Leave me the Hell alone!' Smiling
