What loop would that be? Don't forget that most of Bantry Bay is off limits since those huge fences went up last year (or was it the year before?) Sad

What's the loop? I come in from Forestville so would be interested in other Bantry Bay trails.

PM me if they're not for general discussion..

There's some nice firetrail work on the Forestville side of the Bay. Cook Street track in particular is very steep and would make a great challenge as a climb.

There is also a small piece of track South of the playing fields on council land that's pretty nice.

They are listed on the Bantry Bay Tracks page. There's nothing that can be made into a loop though, especially when that loop would have to be linked with Manly Dam.

the loop when you get to the gate on the parkway, cross the road hang a right ( dont go down little moab) then follow the fire trail to bantry bay road then accross the bridge down the
fast small downhill section and climb back up next to the water pipe....Smiling

Does anybody else know this loop...????
or just me...Smiling))

I think that area just south of the aquatic centre is walking only. Happy to be corrected.

....cross wakehurst and ride along the firetrail next to the illegal Bantry Bay section, onto Bantry Bay rd for about 300m, and then hang a right near that church, over the bridge the goes over Wakehurst, then sharp right down the singletrack and left onto the pipeline that goes down a rocky descent and then climbs back up to the road by that aged care facility (or similar). Then back in to the rocky section that takes you out to the dam entrance by the sports fields and tennis courts. and then down to the hydro-lab.

This is all a well ridden track and I have always thought it is all legal!! Correct me if I am wrong!!

Would make a great hill challenge as an out and back. That first short ascent from the bottom is stupidly loose and steep!

Can also come if from Currie...bit of flat to get the legs warmed up, then down hill, turn around and back again.

Happy to do a hot lap from Currie as I pass the enterance when I ride to manly dam
