Red Hill Downhill/Freeride track location?
Hey guys,
Just wanted to know which track at Red Hill is the best for downhill/freeride? Like one with drops, wooden ramps etc?
I've seen photos of them but I don't know where they are exactly and i've only ever been to Red Hill dirt jumps.
Can you please tell me the track name which is listed on nobmob and also let me know which road i should enter the track from.
Cheers
Blake

Never has. Never will.
Head on over to Oxford Falls. It's good there.
Well where is this then? Photo: http://nobmob.com/node/1999
In a galaxy far far away...
Dude, that photo is from nearly 4 years ago. A lot changes in 4 years. You might be able to find some run down, dangerous, death inducing stuff if you look, but your better option is to head over to Oxy, as Oxy is maintained.
But seriously, if you want to find where the relics of that stuff are, then just go for a ride. Red Hill isn't that big of place.
I'm far from a free rider, infact anything over a few foot get's a bit much for this fella, but a mate and I came across the remenants of a down hilly type trail starting at the bottom of a big rock roll down 10ft+ and it heads down to wakehurst parkway??( not sure where on a map it is though ??), We carried our bikes down most of it ;( and it did look like it needed fair bit of TLC and skill to make it a proper track, but has all the signs of a hectic , ball wrenching run if your skill level is up to it
Haha, righto. Thanks mate
I used to ride all of it, but I haven't been out there in years. The reason? Oxy has so much more to offer, plus there's a nice road to shuttle on.
I imagine that these days the stuff over there probably looks a lot like the stuff Lizard Rock (as in, not worth even walking up to scope out...)
Isildur
Are you riding at Oxy this arvo?
I was there when it started to bucket down on Friday and it was looking pretty slushy Sunday morning when i was showing a mate around.
I'm tossing up whether to go today or not.. Don't really know what condition it would be in now
Heya Mate,
Nah, won't be able to get out this arvo. Too much work on... That said, I better finish my slightly extended lunch break and get back to it!
Chances are though I'll be out on Thursday, for what could possibly be the last decent arvo before daylight saving finishes!!
Okay mate, might see you there Thurs.
And yeah not looking forward to it ending
Cheers
I thought you lived up the mountains,do I have my wires crossed?
Hey mate,
Nah, not wires crossed, just not up to date! ;)
I moved up to the mountains in '09, but am currently back in Syd, and my other half accepted a job in Dee Why (as a daily commute from Blaxland to Dee Why would be a bit, um, strenuous...)
