Has anyone ridden Red Hill following the rains - interested in going out there on Saturday - any views on how it would have drained. Thanks

But that won't stop the motorbikes who will be chewing up the trails as they always do!!!

When were you last there that is was so wet. After a week of next to no rain we were hoping it would be ok.

Not saying unrideable this weekend but it will still be wet. I'll be there as will the motos. Rain, hail or shine for them.

The thing with RH is it has really poor drainage and develops these huge mud pools...which aren't conducive to good trail management ....cos everyone wants to go round the bogs; ahhh yes those blasted moto's...

This is a little late, but I went up to red hill on friday arvo for a quick exploratory ride, and was amazed at how wet it still was.
Most of the trails running down from the top were more like a watercourse with a steady flow of water trickling down, and a lot of fill between rocks has been washed away. A lot of the lines & sections that were barely rideable before are now even more difficult, and the ruts have become deeper.
Its bizarre, but you'll be in rim deep claggy clay one minute and a few metres further on you'll hit bone dry sand. It makes for a great training ride with all that extra weight clinging to your tyres. I wouldn't bother unless you want to spend a few hours afterwards cleaining your bike...
