single track ride fest

wanting to do a couple of rides at two different, but nearby locations in sydneys southwest, was thinking of starting with "the kessel run" at south Camden fully enclosed singletrack smooth and flowing along the edge of the Nepean river,in my opinion one of the best bits of track sydney has to offer!from there back in the cars and head over to the back of campbelltown and ride the more rocky and technical trails on the Georges river, would start out on the "Bendy trail" then work our way along single track to the "rock trail"then downhill track and return along creek track
all social riding would be a fun day ,was thinking this sunday morning any interest out there ?

No mucking about Craig,
Mate I can't ride Sunday, my mate is launching his new man cave and 6 of us are settling in for 3 games of rugby back to back. I'd be lucky to sit on a bike sundee morning let alone ride one anywhere. Next time you plan to ride this awesome adventure we discussed at rock wallaby, I'd love to come. How's your "man cold" ?? Watch this...

Definitely interested, it's just that the timing for this weekend isn't so good. Need to broaden my exposure beyond the normal haunts. Smiling

I could do either side of the June long weekend.

what if I were to post this ride for june 5th would that work ?it would be morning prob 8am start

andyfev's picture

I'd be keen as mustard just got to get the leave pass... Anychance it could be a slightly later start? Like 9 am?

craked's picture

Andy ,as we are riding 2 different locations an early start is preferable so we don't have to rush the rides ,we could make it 8.30 am if that helps do you have morning commitments or don't like getting up early? Eye-wink would be good to see you there

I am trying to post this as a ride meeting but it tells me it is an invalid address and not in the rides data base any ideas how to get around this?

hawkeye's picture

Perhaps try http://nobmob.com/node/add and select Trail Database entry.

Probably best to ask Rob first though so he doesn't have to come along afterwards and clean up your attempts based my misdirected advice

Looks like it should be possible to create a ride meeting for Camden despite there being no trail in the database.

Here's one:

If you specify an address that isn't very accurate (eg. 'Sydney') then the system will reject it.

However, you don't have to actually put an address, in which case there will be no 'directions' link generated and people will have to use the description on it's own to find their way there.

@Cracked... I'm up at 6am everyday for work the issue is it's an hour and half away for me to get there! Not too worry, keep it at 8am as my in-laws land back from overseas that weekend so my leave pass is now doubtful Sad
