They do a spear and jackson model for about 99bucks.
As a Tradesman, i'd never use it for work but i'd definately buy it to blow the odd tyre up! They're also good for drying off parts after washing and moving/taking grips on and off your bars!

I got mine at Supa-Cheap about $100 - try and get it when they throw in the tyre inflator as these are another $60 bucks. Or find someone with a compressor and borrow theirs once every few months because mine sits taking up space for 99% percent of the time

I went down to the the fire safety place got me an old decommissioned extinguisher for nothing. Swapped out the fill valve for a schradder valve so I could fill it up either by hand pump or at a servo. (Take it up to about 70psi)

Removing the valve core the hose fits neatly on the end and pulling the trigger gives a short sharp blast that seals the tyre ever time. Hose off, valve in and we're good to go.

+ it's portable so I can take it to races just in case I need to change tyres over the weekend.

Thats what i do.... Sorry about the mess of goo on your garage floor...
Oh - and dont buy a 12v camping one - theyre crap! You need massive air flow volume to get a good quick seal.

If you're running UST tyres on UST rims you should be able to do it with a floor pump, it's getting non-UST tyres to go tubeless that takes a compressor. I swap USTs just using a floor pump no problems, just need to crack it up to 40psi or so to get the bead to sit

Agree completely - UST tyres inflate quite well - especially with the soapy water technique. Ive had issues inflating Tubeless ready tyres (TLR). Yes it can be done - but its like doing 100 pushups in 30 seconds... As for non ust tyres - tried it, finally got them on - with the help of Giantnuts compressor - only to find a small hole that didnt want to seal with the latex goo. End result - big mess in GN's garage. So back to proper UST.
