Chain Reaction stuff ups
Just wondering how many of you fellow MTBers have had orders through chain reaction cycles that have gone pear shaped?
My latest order they did not send one item, which just happened to be the most expensive.
I am awaiting what they will do.
My order before that they sent me the wrong rims, in the wrong colour.
Just my little rant as you can tell I'm not happy. Guess its a given with their low prices.

I ordered a pair of 425g tyres, but when they turned up it clearly stated 495g on the box. I queried the difference to which they said it was an error on the listing - their techies would fix it right away. 1 month later - its still the same on their site. They did offer a refund - but not happy at all really. Delivery times also varied - from 1week to 1 month. Even had my second order placed a week after the first order, turn up 2 weeks before the 1st order - weird....
And yes i still support my LBS - after a while they tend to look after you on price as well as service.
Been perfect for me.
Made my third or fourth order from CRC last week and problems at all. It's always a gamble with things not being quite what I thought but that's the risk I take with not being able to see and feel things before you buy and why I hit my LBS for anything that I feel I need to do that. I order a lot of stuff online for all sorts of things besides cycling and every now and then something is left out, sometimes on backorder but sometimes just a stuff up. Most suppliers are really good about just sending it on as they seem to accept that as part of their business and will send it straight away.
BTW, order from CRC took around 6 days, Torpedo7 (who have awesome specials these days if what is on special is what you're after) around a week and JensonUSA, 2 days! That's quicker than if you had to backorder something through your LBS. Sure, their freight charges are more than all the others but to get it in two days and with the AUD/USD of late, it's more than worth it and has become somewhat of a favourite over both CRC and Wiggle.
I have found CRC to be fantastic, generally, as they have the biggest range, the best prices, and very fast post. However if, for any reason, something is out of stock or there is something I need to return, my experience is that this really upsets the CRC applecart and they do not handle anything 'non-standard' very well at all. Kind of reminds me of dealing with a phone company about a complicated issue. >:| Normally this then seems to take them many weeks to sort out, sometimes only after emailing and prompting from me. That said, I still use them and can generally recommend a shopping experience there anyday.
