Inspiration for new trails to try
Hiya,
Been the long weekend I have the option of an extra days biking. I'd like to try somewhere new, always get a good buzz of a new trail. looking for something around the sydney area(ish).
A quick run down of where I've been - Awaba, Ourimba, Dam(closed), Yellowmundie, Appin, Oaks.
Any suggestions?

Think you've covered most bases already there.
For time to kill Wingello is worth a look. There's quite a bit of sniggle and many kays of firetrail. Try and find a GPS of the 3 ring circus or Fling (you'll be able to do the middle section of the Fling only). Or drop in to Ye Olde Bike Shope in Bundanoon for a trail map and chat to the locals.
It'll be a bit chilly mind!
Or hit up Glenrock. There's a grand tour going down on Monday.
if weather holds out it will start at 11:00 am.
and then I saw the weather forecast
is one of my personal favourites. It's good if you like tough technical climbs, bumps and line picking rather than smooth flowing singletrack.
+1 for wingello It's one of my favourites, easiest way is follow the red loop it has most of the single track in it and is well marked.
Closer to sydney is mount Annan, it's worth a look.
cheers for the couple of ideas. Mt Annan seems close so might check it out.
The weather seems to have turned already so I will prob give glenrock a miss, sound for the invite tho
Is it known by another name. cant see it in the Rides section
In the southern highlands section Wingello state forest
Another +1 for Wingello - Sorry make that +2 as the wife is looking over my shoulder.
Superb riding, by far my favourite spot to ride - as mentioned above the team at the Bundanoon bike shop are super helpful and will point you in the correct direction, if you need.

Ah I see says the blind man
if you end up riding there just keep an eye out for the wall , it is like heartbreak hill at the dam but there is no run up too it like the dam , then it is all uphill too you get too the single track wish is awesome . It is worth the drive for the day & oh rug up it gets cold down there .
