Arrrrhhhhh!!!!!!
Well, I'm on the trainer with stage 9 from last year's Vuelta playing.
Nice and sunny, but there's a few climbs to come!
What a stage, I'm smashed!

I only wanted to train for an hour, but had previously watched up to 58km to go. Even skipping 2 ad. breaks they were never going to make it. Was enjoying the race too much to step off on the hour mark and pushed on until the winner crossed the line after 1h22. I would say I shared their pain, but it was 5h20 in the saddle for the pros so not really
Obviously I really enjoy watching road racing while sitting on the trainer, give it a go.
... erm, fun! Sort of. I think.
Just kidding. Gotta be a big improvement on just sitting on the trainer watching the clock tick over. I just need to get a decent trainer and a fan...
You don't need a fan, just a waterproof mat to catch all the sweat!
Doing intervals, 4 x 10mins on the bike holding the HR at a steady 180bpmish.
If you dont have a mat, stick a towel or a old dooner cover down, that will work as well.
My bike is so clean , begging for a ride ...nnnoooooo, all the tracks will be only good to swim on...rrraaaaggghhhh....THEN, i went and bought a FIXIE for the road.....im concerned......go away rain......i cannot renovate my house ANY MORE....need to bike.....neeeeed to bike....neeeeeed to MTB...!!!!
just went for a quick 1hr/20km road & cycleway ride with a little bit of bush riding at the turn point-why anyone would want to ride on the trails today is beyond me,they were soaking wet(the area I rode is to be a 4 lane bypass soon).
It's warm and sunny here in QLD...
to be honest... been curled up under the doona trying to shake off the dreaded lurgy.

I did Awaba Friday, Mt Annan Saturday and The Oaks Up & Back today so no cabin fever for me
Attempted to ride Ourimbah Saturday...went down to Mt Annan today and arrived just after the only dumping of rain they had all weekend, making the track unrideable
Had a break from cleaning the bike this afternoon (only the Oakleys and Garmin to go) and decide to watch the Canadian grand prix..and its even raining in tv-land
I had the laptop open with a film on, and extra long headphone cables.
I'll happily recommend Jackass 3 as a great way to pass the time.
I toughed it out for 90mins, and for you power freaks out there, held it @ 300w.
Husky had better not be cancelled after all this!!!!!!
Rode from Killara to Cronulla this afternoon, via Homebush Bay and the Cooks River Cycleway. The only time it rained seriously, we were in the cafe at Brighton Le Sands refuelling The sou-easter was a bit of a struggle once we hit the Bay, but hey, it was training.
About 60 km @ a leisurely 19 kph. A few puddles and a bit of drizzle, but a reasonable workout ahead of the Husky... and minimal bike cleaning involved.
Daughter was at an engagement party down there with car and bike rack, so just had to have a beer and a coffee (not at the party) before a warm drive home....
did the campbelltown loop on Sat with brock , then headed to Orange for a ride with locals at Kinross on monday, no rain and perfect riding conditions what a gem of a place well worth the trip
Sat & Mon, timed it right and didn't even get wet - sometimes pays to have a roadie.
Rode Belmont to Adamstown and back nearly 30klm, safe and with bush on both sides of the trail.
dodge the dopey walker-you know walks both sides of track, stops & turns all of a sudden, moves to the right when you say 'passing on the right',then as you slow down to go past they step out in front of you!!!-I had about 3 incidents of that in 10km's out to Jesmond Park & back on the cycleway yesterday!!!
LOL Mark I play that game on Sydneys cycle paths when I commute to work, even when it's dark with my 3 powerful lights on, they are like stunned rabbits...
