This whole conversation does not compute. Who wants to be dressed in lycra? Petulance, is this form of attire somehow acceptable?
Instead, when you go to the bike shop and ask the sales clerk "do you have any lycra riding shorts?" the clerk will reply:
"do you want the ribbed sort or ultra thin? We currently have specials on the ones with different flavours." Get the picture?
... is what's wrong with Lycra:

<shudder>
is right up there with... speedos!!
should both be banned
OK time to get this back onto the original topic.
Sorry Matt, Batching at the moment so no riding for me.
Stuart
The problem with that pic is that there is not enough lycra
nothing wrong with lycra knicks. Unless they are white.
*shudder*

I suppose cycling has no boundries...
Is the most comfortable material for cycling clothes.
Although it doesn't offer must protection (sorry Andy)
from the forum topic "No night ride this week?" to a new topic called "What's Wrong".
In that topic I asked 9-Lives what was wrong with lycra, in response to him saying "No to Lycra".
I assume a new topic was started because the flow of replies was getting off-topic to the "No night ride this week?" topic.
Liam, I hope that clears things up.
Sorry Petulance, yeah - things were getting a little OT so (anticipating the ensuing deluge of discussion on Lycra) I moved it.
Apologies for the confusion... you can change the title and explain if you like.
No one has mentioned the most obvious embarrasing Lyrca wearing incident of Matt Shirvington and his packed lunch?
OTOH, I wear lycra cause I hate wearing baggy clothes when riding. (and no, I'm not a frustrated wannabe '80's glam rocker ).
