There's been a few sprinkles there this week, but nothing like the downpour of 7/8/9 this month.
I'd imagine down near the bottom (Jurassic Park, etc) it would be a bit soggy but that's not why you want to go, is it?
A lot of us will be up at Coffs, take care if you go. Wouldn't recommend solo DH there on a new bike!
it will be very wet and muddy. it has rained up here a fair bit. You keen for a ride of that new beast around ourimbah ay ?
yah me ridy biky lol..yeh a couple mates and i are gonna head up there in the morning (should get there by about 9:30 if anyone wants to tag along ur welcome, ill be in the white mitsubishi for those who dont know me
jurassic park is my favourite bit! my mate jumped off the huge hump last time, im hoping to do the same now im rear cushioned
good luck to yall in coffs, dont forget to do mt. coramba, the trail and the view from the top will take your breath away!
Mt Coramba. Gotcha! (says Liam taking notes..)
CCOMTB are racing on Sunday i think....
No racing on Sunday, race has been postponed to the 22nd
The next race for downhill is on the 15th of july, it was on the 24th of june but got postponed. From what i've heard the track is in pretty bad shape.
its soft and rutted in a few places but i checked it out for the first time today and it was ok. sorta hard to set tyre pressure because some sections a bit soft and others really rocky and technical but given how much i hate flats i kept mine pumped up high anyway. go check it out, not that bad, some people have been filling the ruts with rocks which helps and yes, the bottom firetrail is fairly boggy though not unpassable.
I'm going up there sometime during the week to have ride, first time in a few months, to get ready for the race. Hopefully there isn't anymore rain before the race.
yah was up there this morning, some pretty heavy fallen trees and massive ruts and stuff throughout the course, but the downhill, and rollercoaster were pretty fine, although half way down the downhill theres some nasty rocky rutty rough as guts stuff just after the log drop that is the result of heavy rain.. apart from that yeh stay off the graveyard, its basically unridable..the rest, is a bit mushy, puddly and muddy in parts, but hey its ourimbah, its fun anywayz
i came a cropper a few times on the particular section, it was just a maze of rocks and ruts. the landing off that log jump would have been sketchy as given the rocks, i didnt even attempt it considering it was my first time ever there.
yeh i went OTB on that one but was unscathed, my mate on the other hand hit that downhill for the first time and went otb and kissed a rock and chipped his tooth next purchase: full facer hehe, that track really is unforgiving!
if im not mistaken it was you guys giving telling me where stuff was. i was the one with the crazy black dog running about the place.
