Manly Dam Re-Opened

Some great news for the weekend...

Thanks again to everyone who kept off the track during and after this wet period.

The track is still wet in places, and the trail surface has changed in some spots because of the heavy rain. Please ride according to these conditions and walk your bike through muddy patches on the trail.

Manly Dam has volunteer trail maintenance days every 6-8 weeks. The next trail day is on Sunday 29 July. Please register with Terracare if you wish to be involved. www.terracare.com.au Finally please inform others of the manly dam mailing list [email protected]

Thanks,

Nicole

Just thought I would update everyone on the status of Manly Dam. Started out muddy and I thought that it was going to be an ok decent to the creek. I WAS WRONG. Very muddy patches with running water in some areas, the creek is definately running however there are also a lot of places with standing water.

Lots of tracks through there meaning that people are obviousouly enjoying getting back there after this rain.

Bike is really muddy and will take a long time to clean however, good fun as long as you like mud.

My advice - watch the clay section behind the school, and the decent to the creek for puddles.
Otherwise - enjoy.
Tim
