Hi,

Does anyone know anything or have been to the Fairfield City Farm mountain biking course? Where do we start - how long etc etc. Apparently this was the site of the 2000 Mountain Biking Course and someone was saying to me the other day that it was worth a visit.

city farm mountain bike course was really nice(with plenty of challenging terrain), last time I made inquiries about it I was told its no longer open. Doh!

yeah unfortunatly the track is no longer there but there is a great pathway that goes from Parramatta railway station all the way out to fairfield city farm. only have to cross a couple of roads and the rest is all concrete with some trail like sections that run beside it to prospest dam its about 40 k return from Parra
mostly flat to till you get to prspect dam where the hills kick in well worth the trip for endurance training.
theres also pathways that go from parra station to Liverpool station 18 k return
then there is duck river at Auburn good trail riding through there
who said theres only good riding on the northern beaches
ahahhahaha
Smiling
cheers
Kurt

If ya after something that is close to that area then you could try lake parramatta. You can basically do a XC circuit of the lake. It is ok although i would not regard it as a legendany ride Smiling

Takes about 40mins?? i think and there are a couple of side trails that go up to a well known school. Not really that difficult mostly walking track with a few techy bits. No harsh up or downhill bits.

Start point is at the carpark then you pretty much head for the bush and keep the lake on your left handside. Has some nice views of ducks & people swiming where they shouldnt
