Hi,

Somewhere new you ask? Are you sick of Terry Hills???

Unfortunately I cannot make Tuesday's ride so here is another option. I managed to ride this again the other day and some of the singletrack is now open. This track is a mainly and a "there and back ride" although one aim could be to leave form the meeting point ride to Epping and then ride back its about 7kms one way??. The track is 70% firetrail with a few steep hills thrown in there for good measure, as steep as the pinch hill on the long trail at Terry Hills. There is one small hike a bike section but I'm sure the technical guys will like it.

Hey,

So it turned out to be somewhere different indeed! So Pikey, George Ben and myself started out at the meeting spot and rode around to the bridge. It was an interesting ride considering i was the only one that had ridden that route. After a few sections of small singletrack and one hike-a-bike we hit hill after hill. Some hills were covered in lots of loose rock which made it reasonably tricky.

This trail has many trail heads leading out to Comenarra Parkway and and it has other starting points at Epping, Macquarie, Thornleigh and Cheltenham essentially it is and out and back firetrail. Did i mention the hills?

We went on ahead for about 8kms and then turned back. Im guessing that there would be about 20km of firetrails in there but lots of U tunrs would be needed to cover it all in one go. All up we rode for 100mins, since it was dark and they were new to the track we were in no mood to take it quickly. We covered 15 or so kms and 378metres! I'm sure that the day trip will be very different indeed

Where do we want to go next week?

Sure was a good change. And there sure were a few more climbs than the usual Terrey Hills ride. But I actually enjoyed the climbs. Gives me a chance to catch up after you have all left me behind on the downhills Smiling

Not that I'm here next week but if hills are your thing then Cascades would be a nice fast ride.

Ben
