Amusing little article as to why one needs to shave and wear lycra when one gets on a road bike. At least he admits it's partly to fit in with the crowd Smiling

we were out DHing one day and a guy turned up in uggboots. He claimed the gripped like nothing else....

Going hairless has some advantages when crashing on tar. If you are hairy the hairs tend to pull more skin into contact with the ground creating a bigger wound, or so they say.
