If anyone remembers my little issue with my new Trek session 77 whereby the seat post clamp, when in an off centred position, hit the linkage and sheared a gouge out of it, and cut some outer tubing of the brake hose too, which although was mainly cosmetic (except for the brake hose hehe), was rather upsetting..

Anyways, i just thought i'd mention, for those talking and thinking about new bikes, warranties etc., that i took it back to clarence st., and theyve replaced everything for free, and have replaced the whole rear linkage for free, new brake hose, put a lower profile clamp on etc. etc. and all within a week Smiling
That, is service!
So big points for trek and clarence to me anyways, just thought i'd share!

Are number one in warranty. My old man has had a few things go back and they always look after him really well. Actually better than i would expect a bike shop would do.
I'd have to agree they are good, i suppose it helps when the shop in this thread owns TREK Aus...

serious? they own trek oz eh? full on, well my 2/3rds discount on the bike, 5 year parts and unlimted frame warranties, impecable service and general all round helpful shop assistants that actually listen to you and dont try to push u towards something u dont want for their own benefit means ill make the effort to go out of my way to go there over my locals!
...maybe i should try to get a job there lol

Yeah I'll give a plug to CSC. I've used their workshop several times in the past and can give nothing but praise for their level of service and knowledge.

You looking for a new job squid? Sticking out tongue

Nah, I enjoy getting paid to do nothing all day. It's quite tiring at times though!

There have been times however where we're understaffed/overbooked or all the good mechanics are on holidays and I need to outsource. CSC are one of the few shops I'd trust to work on my bike (one day I'll learn how to pull my own suspension apart).

What are you saying Squidly? That you have bad machanics there too??

Squidly Didly's picture

We have bad customer service people too. Take me for example!

I find I get a quicker response from you on these forums than seeing you in person in the shop!! Eye-wink

( just kidding...)
