LOL!! LOL!! LOL!!
That had me in hysterics! When they were all waiting at the start line, I had no idea what I was about to see. As they took off, slipping and sliding all over the place, I laughed more and more with each passing minute.
Seriously, that is some dangerous stuff. Did you see when they were about halfway down, the sheer drop over the left side of the mountain? You definitely would not want to get that wrong. It's a long way down. And did you see the technique they were using? Leaning over one side of the bike and resting a foot on the ground like a ski? Interesting.
Does anyone else have the inclination, like I do now, to ride down a snow covered mountain? I wonder what the prize money was for these guys?
This is the world's most famous enduro DH event over 25kms and 2800 vertical meters down the Alpe d’ Huez in France. People come from all over the world to compete it is that ledgendary!
If I were ever to compete in a race overseas this would have to be the one! I am hoping my son and I will one day get a crack at it in a few years (he is only 12 ATM) as long as I am not too decrepid
just like riding in yorkshire in winter but we did it in racing lycra with no armour and on hardtails!!! as the old saying goes,,, "its grim up north!"
Sheesh - those europeans are crazy!
I take it bovine boy is a damn fine rider!
So who wants to head to the snow next weekend?

PS only the first couple of KMs are in snow depending on how much the glaciers have melted that year.
Isn't it in one of the Earthed films?
Maybe 2?
Have to try to find it....very mental race though!
