Out door bike storage
Due to an impending (December) first addition to the family (Cigars and beer gladly accepted for sale on e-bay to fund 12 nappies a day...) I am forced to put my existing aluminium and steel framed children out in the yard!
Has anyone come across any outdoor storage solutions for a couple of bikes that are secure, weatherproof and not too expensive?
Ta,
Matt.
PS - It could all be academic anyway as riding might be cut down a bit! Still, feel free to humour me. Plus if you have an old "first bike" you were thinking of dumping...

Hi buddy, I have a solution that will completely negate your need for outdoor bike storage.
Just waiting for the image ( hopefully) to upload onto the site...
He means this:
The dh bike was still in the car!
Why don't you hang the bikes above new family member's bed... erm... cot? Would make a nice mobile and something shiny to entertain young eyes. Plus, can't help to start MTB education early, can it?
where is 9-lives gone??
No more lives?
Congratulations!
Hope you are not going to get rid of the bikes now!!
Congrats mate! Learn to leave the bikes in the shed. You are never likely to ride them in the next 6 months.
...on your Santa Cruz
That'll last till I'm 40 and become a hand me down!
.... Congratulation on the new bub arriving soon.
As for your storage problem maybe something like this will do:

and when your kid gets a bit older:

The future is good.

............packing into a small suitcases for early morning get away!
or alternatively ...put them in the car the night before!
Matt you really should auction you bikes on NobMob...you know good homes are waiting for them....
Myself I would offer to take one but find I have three already!
Hiya,
we have this bike rack in our flat which I think is great. It works with gravity so need to break the rules and damage precious walls!
The other option is the spare room
(love it!!!)
(Sorry I read the FAQ part and tried to incorporate the pics into the post but as you said Rob: clear as mud!!!
Ed. Sorted
Cheers

With tricks like that I'm afraid! Outdoor under lock and key it has to be, nice wall decoration in the spare room though ;-}.
