I'll put my vote in for the Fizik Gobi. Oldy but a goody.
really good saddles
I had a sella italia gel it sqeeked all the time with every stroke wanna becarefull when spending the buks i dont buy a lemon..I took a short cut through a car park at speed the driver of the car allso took ashort cut through and around a set of traffic lights & me coming in the opposite way it was realy close and left me bouncing over the bitum and my ride slidin sideways leaving most of the leather behind i came out of it with a bruised cheek back pac took most of the G force but i now need a xc seat for my 2010 carbon epic..thats me little story of WHY..
vote 2 for the Gobi, great saddle
Selle SMP Stratos
as said b4, every ass is different try a few then go from there !!!!
Hey smiley im doing that at a faster rate than planed..fizy might be the go i plan to use it often i dont stand & pedal much so i need padding gel inserts..gotta be one out there.not the elite type..
I ride with a WTB & love it everyone has a preference , some bike shops have FiZik on loan for a small fee
I use FiZik, they just seem to be more comfortable.
One saddle I cannot recommend is the Fi’zi:k Tundra, as I have just bought a new 29er (no prizes for guessing which one) that came fitted with the Fi’zi:k Tundra. In every review I read before they said what a great bike it is with almost no flaws, apart from the woeful Fi’zi:k Tundra saddle and strange bars.
Having bought and ridden the bike I can attest to quite how awful the Fi’zi:k Tundra is, of all the people I know who have bough the same bike recently I am the only one who hasn't binned or ebayed the saddle and that is only because I haven't yet got round to it.
I know it is personal but without doubt this is the most uncomfortable saddle I have ever ridden, the only nice thing I can say for it is that it is light and looks stunning colour coded with the rest of the bike.
Tundra too flat (in comparison). Gobi is the winner. ‘Extra’ padding will not strictly help. For example, get the 'correct' Brooks leather saddle, and mega comfortable (get the wrong one and pay in pain). However, they have no padding - reinforces Smiley’s comments.
now onto my second one after trashing the one that came fitted to my Genius in a minor otb incident. It looks hard but works well (for me) with plenty of give. Like it soo much I'm thinking of upgrading to Tundra 2 .. not sure what you're complaining about ... need to man up a little!
Gobi works well for my riding buddy..
I have been riding on a Brooks B17 for the past two years. After a while it just molds to your shape. Awesome on long rides.
Had a look at the B17 wtf allthough it looks quite strong omg wat do i do take it off and put back every time i transport the epic on the roof my rolla somone would see it i need somthing more dynamic..they still make em like that LOL
If weight is not too much of a priority - a mate recommended the Charge (english I think)
I have the Charge Spoon with Ti rails. very comfortable on a long ride.
