Ourimbah today
Rainy, wet cold but heaps of fun. We went to try out Dad's new cannondale prophet for the first time today at ourimbah. steered clear of the downhill for the most part as it was just way too slippery. the single track switchbacks off to the right as you come down are great fun in the conditions. Btw whilst that new northshore obstacle does take away some technical parts of that rock garden,,, its is very fun wooshing down over it! Dad says he's really happy with the new bike so i thought i'd just post some happy snaps of after the ride:

Has your dad always been a lefty fan or was this his first?
its his first! i wasn't expecting him to like it but once he got over the whole "wow, what the hell is that?" phase and started riding it he never looked back.
yeh i love that new bridge! u still get all the techy drops before it and u can feel the g-forces on your face fanging down that thing

Alot of the guys at the last club downhill round didn't like the bridge, they reckoned it made the track too easy. Personally I like it as it gives you alot of speed for the next section. There's a race on this sunday so we will see if anyone changes their minds about it.
yeh i see how people would prefer it the other way, i reckon theres plenty of nasty, rough rockgarden stuff still to come towards the end of the trsil though- we love our dh's rough in oz eh? hehe
