Loz mentioned this to me. Anyone else doing this? I know it's a ROAD ride but could be a cruisy fun day out. Plus all the closet roadies can get their road bikes and lycra out for the day Smiling

Now 50km on bitumen with knobbly tyres....hmmmmm could be interesting!

Already entered as part of Mont/Gong training have done this a few times before and it's not a bad ride

Last time I did this ride they used to finish at Parramatta Park, I could not believe how slow they expect people to ride, nearly got booked for overtaking the police motorcycle that was escorting the ride.

Yeah - I had heard that some parts of the race had 'speed limits'...

the springcycle is aimed more so at families wanting to have a day out, its not a race in any shape or form.
i might do it this year but will whack on the trailer and take my 3yr old daughter along for the ride, its a fun family ride, if my 9 month old daughter will fit into the helmet i bought her a few weeks ago she may come along also in the trailer and will then have to convince the wifey to come along also.

Doesn't finish at Parramatta finishes at Olympic Park Homebush and last rides I've done no speed limit at all infact last time was just over 2 hours and as long as you get away in the front few starts you'd do well to keep up
