I am just posting in hope that someone can set me up with someone who can fix my rear derailleur cables for me (from what i have researched it is a simple process if you know what your doing). The problem is that the bike shops seem to be clogged up until after the school hols, and i have been looking forward to riding since ages and ages ago. Then mu cable snapped last week and i am now felling absolutely terrible. Any solutions are very welcome.

Thanks in advance (hopefully Eye-wink )

Will

Remember the dude with the Contour camera, willy? ... he means me. Smiling

Would prefer to start with fresh cables and outers... if it's got dirt in there we'll struggle to get it to behave properly and that is usually the problem when shifting starts to play up on mountain bikes.

If you can organise to get a pair of fresh shifter cables and enough of the black outer cable housing to replace at least the sections closest to the derailleur, I can show you what to do so you can look after yourself for the future, and maybe even show your mates a thing or two. Will save your folks some money on bike shop labour.

Deal? PM me. Smiling
