So where did you end up riding?

Ended up riding Awaba and Ourimbah.

Went up to Glenrock, walked thru the gate too look at a couple of trails and it was still pretty wet - needs at least another day to dry out a little more.

Awaba and Ourimbah were quite good (see trail status updates) a few puddles, but great fun.

I recommend the Ourimbah downhill. The trail fairies have done some great stuff. Super berms and basically made the course much more sustainable. Take it easy and it's a great even on the yeti 575, just need to take it easy on a couple of the rock gardens. I think I walked down 2-3 bits, but I think after knowing the right lines everything is makeable on an all mountain bike - just need the gonads to launch over / off a couple of the bigger rocks.

makes for a great loop, fire road climb from trailhead to top of the downhill, downhill course, then link into burnt forest and the rest of the xc loop. I know you miss Jurassic park, but the downhill is so much more fun.

I'm keen for Ourimbah but maybe after my last race of the year (the 8 1/4 hour) as I can't afford missing any more training if I'm going to have a chance winning the pot Eye-wink
