I was hoping someone would post it up so i could re live it all again... I had the ride of my life on that track at midnight on the Sat night. Punched out a 41min which kept me smiling for ages. Actually im still smiling, gotta take my other riding buddies down to experience a Red Lap.
The Blue Lap - or the "lets hit that rock lap" or even "hey, theres a tree, lets crash into it" or my fav "i think the trail goes this way... Nope" Track had me live up to my name - a flash of black shooting off into the trees...

Great vid and I think we can all agree it was a fantastic weekend -
is that your tube laying on the trail at 2:30 - I am sure you took it nobody leaves busted tubes and gel wrappers on the track do they.

The lap took me 46 minutes but a good 5 to 10 mins were spent fixing that sodding flat. Next red lap I did I got another flat. Lost us about 20 minutes in total and 2 positions in the race.

Yep , my one and only flat - even with a tubeless setup, was on the red lap - going up the bloody hill!!! We lost 20 minutes as well - but only 1 position. Oh well - Dont really care about that... Was just great to be riding out there with mates.
Everyone that i went past or went past me, was very courteous, no issues whatsoever. Even when i punctured, it was pretty obvious what had happened, i had my pump going etc - pretty much everyone checked on my well being, offered equipment etc. One young fellow even stopped, came over with his CO2 pump, saw i was low on water, so he even filled up half my water bottle. Champion! And this kid was only around 17! With people like that coming throught the ranks, the sport is in good hands!

its interesting to see the different lines people take through sections. i'd say mine were pretty poor. no wonder i lose so much time going downhill... if only all races were uphill!
My last Blue lap was the winner for hitting random objects. Even the guy behind me told me i was even more crap than him!!!

It doesn't look like the luge has not had any work done on it yet , I thought the might have smoothed it out a bit to take out the water lines & make it faster
Man I need to watch more porn to avoid falling in to that musical genre again.....
And yes, amazingly friendly riders who all offered help along the track when I was fixing my sodding flats. Had to go to 40psi which is awful. I'm normally less than 30psi and never get flats.
I abandoned the tubless crap the week before the race and went back to normal tyres and tube. That may not have been the best desicion.
