With the missus due anytime she told me a few weeks ago we need too clean up the back room , ok I agreed I then proceeded to clean the area where the bikes are in there little spot with shelf & all , bikes off the ground out of the way . A few minutes later i get what's this , it's where the bikes are kept I respond nice enuff , not anymore it aint out they go , what the !! where am I gonna put them , I don't care not here anymore outside where they belong . Hmm brain ticking over not much money too spend as all goes on bike , wollah brainwave not much happening at work , cut & bring materials home all good I will build a bike box to lock up my gear in ..

Laughing out loud

I rekon she'd have a different prospective after being locked up in there for a day or two.... "who da boss now.. huh?"

Nice idea but it clearly does not comply with the N+1 standard...

Can you come round my house and make me one too?

PS I feel your pain. But don't worry the baby will make up for it. Congratulations BTW.

I got told a while ago to get mine out of the house, she did also add that she didn't care how many bikes I had as long as they were kept in my shed Smiling

We have a downstairs area that is not used day to day. Due to no garage or shed this is where I keep my bikes, safe and secure. This area also has a bar with a stocked fridge, a door to under the house where spares/tools are kept and is where Foxtel was recently put on for the RWC. Being able to work on my bike(s), with a cold beer and watch live/repeats of the RWC. No wonder that I was not too upset by the rain keeping me off the trails.

Nice work on the shed, I hope my wife doesn't see this at all she doesn't need this idea put into her head.....

there is a bar fridge next too it & N+1 is now in there too with shelving inside as well for my tools & parts . I tried too make it look part of the house & there is a sml pool 2.5x1.8x 60cm deep next too the bike box too . This is how I cool off after a ride & relax a bit in summer or warmer days , now I might build another for my other 2 bikes I ride around the streets with my nearly 5 yr old, a old Haro bmx & a old Learsport to cruise behind him on ..

The walls look like they're made of canvas... Puzzled

the security is easy it is 10mm lexcen or perspex painted inside to give a glossy affect on the sides & roof with 5mm aluminium doors with security screws with 5 mm angle brackets screwed onto 45mm box section top & bottom & middle latch , insde are specially made slide bolts & pins so the doors fold back onto each other , so there are actually 4 panels on the front . The front is just painted in white undercoat & left over white paint tins in the shed ,also the kelpie is another one too get passed b4 u even get near the box if I lost my keys I would need a 9in angle grinder to get my bikes out & everything is screwed onto 4mm gal frame with screws in the concrete & wall , it not going nowhere or getting broken into .
