Hello guys,
I have never ridden to this NP and keen to come. How fast do you plan to ride ? I am not sure I can fit with you but it is worth to try....
Cheers
Pierre
Hope that answers any questions!
Hi Runo,
Slowly, hopefully! Will also be brining a friend who is faster than I.
I'm keen for whatever pace! Come along, the more the merrier!
See you there at 8am.
Er... I wouldn't mind tagging along with you dudes for this - if you don't mind of course? First time poster, don't worry about that!
Pete
The more people who hit this little-known but very worth while track, the better. It's what MTB is all about, trying new stuff. Hope your first NoBMoB ride will make you keen for more!
Nup, not going. Last time I rode in this weather, a ruined my bike (and my phone). Don't want to cop another $300. Reschuled for Sunday fortnight.
Alex and I are still going. There's a thunderstorm nearby, but no more than a sprinkle on the track, according to the BOM radar.
Text me on 0467 446 589 if any of you still want to join us.
Weather didn't end up being too bad; it cleared up a lot as soon as I cancelled! But according to the blessed forcast it was meant to rain the whole day.
Anyway, am planning to go back on Sunday fortnight (see clone ride) so feel free to tag along then!
Tristan
Thanks, yes was a good ride - really nice flowing singletrack!
Yes, I checked the BOM RADAR at 7-7:30AM, and it showed heavy rain in the area, but not on the track itself. We didn't get a drop of rain, and the track was lovely and dry - not a single puddle.
Actually kinda glad you guys cancelled. Saved the embarrassment of not turning up. My body didn't agree with a 5:30 start and didn't acknowledge the iPhone alarm. I didnt get out of bed until 10am.
Murphy's Law of Weather states that any outdoor event will heighten the chances of rain at that time.
I learned the converse of the law that as soon as an event is cancelled due to poor weather, it turns out to be a lovely day. After looking at the hourly forcast predicting rain the whole day and cancelling, the rain stops and it clears up! Glad to hear you enjoyed it though - how many of you guys ended up going? And did you do Coba Ridge track (the technical overgrown one)?
Pete, yes, that's kind of good for you (though you didn't need to even tell us you missed it! You could have kept completely silent and no one would have been wiser!). Next time set a louder alarm & go to bed earlier!
This is one of my favourite tracks to ride on and I'm looking forward to returning soon. Hope you guys can make it!
I was almost in the car on my way to the meeting when I saw it was canceled Not a bad day indeed but not a lovely day neither ... I guess I'm keen to come on Sunday.
