I have been looking at dual suspensions for a while and for my budget and riding style these two bikes fit in great. There isn't much difference in the specs both running Shimano SLX with Tektro hydraulic discs. I would like to ride this bike around Glenrock and eventually get into racing soon. Please help me decide which bike I should get. Also does the different position of the rear shock between the two bikes influence the riding? Here are the links to the two bikes.

Thank You for your help. It is muchly appreciated.

I dont know much about specialized.

I own last years Trance and Ive found the lower shock harder to switch on the fly. I dont adjust it much when riding at all now. Tend to leave it on its firmest setting unless im about to go on a long decent.

I don't think you can go wrong with either bike. I've ridden the Trance on a test ride day and am also familiar with the Camber. I think both bikes a good; however, I do prefer the position of the shock on the Camber as it does allow you to change settings on the fly quite easily. This said if you are serious about racing you might want to look at buying a Specialized Epic. I own two a 26er and a Carbon 29er; they are great bikes; however, everyone has their favourites.

Agree that you can't go wrong with either bike. However are you comparing the Trance X1 or the X3 to the Camber Comp? The X1 has much better components, esp. the suspension. It would be a fairer comparison between a Trance X3 and Camber Comp and the X1 to Camber Expert. The X3 did get a very good review in the recent issue of AMB mag.
