Well, it kindof is depending on what you want to do.
Look at any activity on Motionbased (eg, lap of Manly Dam):
http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/episode/2898732
On the MB site you see several options under 'export' (GPX, HST, CRS). For a standard GPS device I imagine GPX is the go. For something like a Garmin Edge take the CRS file.
You might have some luck with GPSbabel translating the KMZ files on NoBMoB into GPX and uploading them. I didn't see a need for this as I don't have one of these. Perhaps if someone tries to bribe someone with beerage then something to automatically convert KMZ to GPX will appear?
not being the most tech guy, some beerage bribes are a definite go.does this mean i go to mb and export or import to my garmin edge.i am having some trouble finding anything aus, eveything i see is us?cheers.
Ahhh.... if you have a garmin Edge, it's easy. First off, you should be stashing all your activities on MB, which means you should have the MB agent installed. If not, get it from here:
http://www.motionbased.com/support/download/view...
Then you just click the export as CRS link on any activity, tell your browser to open it with MB agent and tell the agent to send it to your connected Edge. Simple as that
OK, if your browser doesn't know, the agent executable is usually:
"C:\Program Files\MotionBased\Agent\MBAgent.exe"
For example, the CRS export for the above Manly Dam lap is this:
http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/export.mb?epi...
thanks for that rob,its still not working for me,i have the mb agent but when i try to open any files it says they cant find them or there is a problem with the files.maybe i need to delete everything ive done so far and start from scratch.much help is needed!!
Erm... OK then, try to save the CRS file to your desktop or something.
Then fire up the Agent and tell it to 'Import Files'. Choose the previously saved on and tell it to send to connected device.
How's that?
this is going from bad to worse, the training centre is now telling me the edge is not connected to the computer when it is all plugged in,will no satellite signal in my house be the reason for this?or do i need profesional help?
try turning everything off, wait for 30 secs, make sure you stand on one foot whilst touching the tip of your nose with your finger, this will reset all bad memory and will then hopefully work (will look funny to all people near you also, hehe)
Don
p.s. the garmin does not have to be on to transfer data or import/export, so the satellite reception will have nothing to do with it
thats the first thing i tried, but overbalanced and couldnt clip out in time!!!
