any chance moving this ride to, say, around 7am?
Tien
Echo Tiens comments, earlier the better.
Evan
A couple mates and I will do the 9:30am loop if you early birds want to race around earlier.
have you forgotten you are out Saturday night? 7 is a bit mean... however! i will be there whatever time - can someone text me if it's moved from the original 9.30 since, as you all know, i don't have the computer after work...or meet halfway and start at 8.30...?
MEEE
An earlier start time is fine by me as I had planned to be on the trails anyway... I just took the time from the original thread in Tentative Planning...
What would the people want?
maybe see what Paul (the original poster) says - since i don't know yet if he needs a lift - if he does, and you start at 7 I am not overly keen because I will have to go to Manly first - anyone who was at the Mont knows I am not my most social self first up!!!
8:30 is good but errrmmm good point about Sat night.
i thought you were being super roadie and doing the Gong ride?
The counselling has helped this week, somewhat...
Naa - I had to pull out of the Gong unfortunately
So what is the official start time now?
Cheers,
Loz
That sound ok?
fine with me!
See you all there at 8:30
Great guys, so hope everybody's up for it rain or shine, I rode 11 hours in the rain yesterday, so am quite used to it! Sorry I couldn't get back on times or anything, have had a very busy last couple of days and they don't give us the internet where I work!
PS if anybody had both a shockpump and a trackpump would be great to have a qick use of them before setting off, haven't had my mtb long and its all a bit soft...
Every now and again us northern hemisphere types get to ride in our natural conditions.
I'll have pumps with me.
Ah yes, I'm from the wetter hemisphere too, makes me feel right at home!
Warm beer at night rides?
You mean to say you dont keep guinness in your camelbak as well.
...unless it's realy pissing down!
-so the meeting point is the shops right? I hav'nt ridden this trail yet.
Hopefully the rain dissipates by 7am, otherwise it will be a massacre for brake pads...
"Forecast for Sunday - Issued at 4:30 am EDT on Sunday 4 November 2007
A few showers clearing in the morning. The chance of an early thunderstorm. Fine afternoon with increasing sunny periods. Light to moderate westerly winds turning southerly and freshening in the evening. Extra wear for brake pads." http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/nsw/forecasts.shtml
I'll be there.
It's raining at Harbord, think I might have a go this afternoon instead.

Duckholes, Waratah and Center.
Flats, blood, puddles, heat and hills, this ride had everything except rain.
Indeed!
Fantastic ride! Nice to meet you all!
I'm totally spent now after doing Perimeter and Long tapped onto the end of our ride with Tien. Need to build up the K's so I can handle it better!

I made a poor call by pulling the pin on this one....not a drop all day! sounds like a good one!
the whole time!
just wanted to let you all know that Caro - our resident Roid Girl made it up the first hill of Centre track!1
woo hoo - way to go!
we had a lovely ride and it was nice to meet all the new people - hope to see you all again!
MEEE
The day was definitely a surprise as the weather was perfect, the trails were pretty dry (DH & WT anyway) and there were more riders than expected with some new faces too!
Pity about the punctures but we got to enjoy the blue sky...
RE - the stack, how's the knee by the way?
Well done Caro! Does this mean you doing the 110km at the Fling?
thanks for the ride,
a fantastic morning out,
good to meet everyone, it was a great group to ride with
T - hope the knees are getting better
I really wish I was doing the 110km!!
Seems like the time off the bike did really help, no dramas with hurting knees or getting a cold at the moment, fingers crossed!
But no Shaun, I'll be sensible for once and stick with the 50km! So maybe we will arrive back at the finish at the same time if you do the 110
Can't wait!
