I need to get a bike up from Melbourne. What type or company have you used for transporting a bike?

I have had a bike sent up from Melbourne by Couriers Please http://couriersplease1-px.rtrk.com.au/ezysend they did it quickly and there was no damage to the carton or bike.

I've used Pack 'n Send, twice. Very happy with the costs and the service.

Both long haul jobs; Brisbane and Melbourne to Sydney. In both cases though, packing was by the sellers themselves, not the courier.

Greyhound is also doing freight, quite cheap from what I heard;
but you'll have drop-off+pick-up from their offices offices.
