With this weather I need the KM's in the legs before the convict.
do you think it will be dry enough Hans? Can you do a scout first on Saturday to confirm?
as dry as this one then? http://lh4.ggpht.com/-tUPueHd6S4k/Tq5wKZPU-6I/AA...
Glad you left the avatar the same or I wouldn't have realised it was you.
How do you post a pic without the link?
Maybe you should swap your avatar to the pic on this page? http://www.probertencyclopaedia.com/photolib/peo...
Yes Hawkeye, like that.
How do you do it, is there a cut and paste version somewhere here that makes sense to non IT folks?
Rode Duck and Centre today and was surprisingly dry. Some nasty washed away ruts just near the fire brigade, but 100 or so metres in it is really nice.
Hans, I might be there... will see how we go.
Dave
Hi Hans, I plan to see you there, cheers Tim
Hans,
Thanks for test ride of your bike, I have ordered new blue frame from Belrose.
Looking forward to a ride with you tommorrow.
I rode this route last Saturday and the perimeter trail was muddy but we went in there via the Japanese school.
Regards
Ron
@Ron
Glad I could help with the sizing of the new blue SC Tallboy. We'll see you Sunday morning at TH shops. We most likely ride Duckholes and Centre trails (dry), with a potential excursion via Towler's Bay for those in need of more km's.
Cheers, Hans
=================
Happiness is a warm shock.
I can't wait for that post-ride coffee and bacon/egg roll....
Really enjoyed the Towler's Bay section. - that climb back out is a great workout.
Thanks especially to Heckler for playing Tour Barbie when my memory failed me at a couple of the intersections.
Oh, by the way my squeaky disc resolved itself when I left the TH RFS carpark for the ride home. I think the axle might not have been all the way home in the dropout and reseating it with a bit of weight on the saddle did the trick. Still, the hub is probably overdue for a service. Just need to get some decent cone spanners to undo the locknuts on that particular hub - the ones I have are junk.
Sorry I couldn't stay for coffee - got a bit on this arvo.

And of course, Hans lived up to his new handle as "rainmaker" - we got wet on the Towler's Bay descent LOL!
I think those hills will stand me in good stead for the convict, next weekend.
Must do Towler Bay more often.
Cheers again guys for a top ride.
Hans you are definitely the rainmaker. If anyone can turn a perfectly good morning, not a cloud in site.
An still produce rain on a ride you can. Maybe while you bailed out on Towlers.
All good fun, except for that head wind on West head Road on the way home.
WAS flat out on the level bits of Forest Way riding home in middle ring and middle cassette at about 18km/hr! Your description "dragging a parachute" was about right.
