Convict race - fantastic!

Did the 50km course, first time. What a great day! Some of those downhill were a bit hairy, saw a couple of guys with a few grazes, hopefully no one was seriously hurt. Glad I listened to the advise given here about walking up 'that hill'.
First time effort - 2hrs 45min, so pretty happy for an old girl. Hope everyone else had a great day.

I did the 50km for the first time, came home with 2hrs 26min, was pretty happy there that is for sure! I was surprised to see sooo many people walking the whole hill, it was much faster to ride!!!
Had a big moment on the last decent, lucky the rocks off the trail are not much bigger than the ones on the trail! Awesome first race for me, definitely will be back, possbibly for the 100km next year.
Like wise, my first "race", 2hr 53, in the master category, walked "the" hill. When I had time to look around saw some beautiful country side. Can't wait for next year. Looking at the "backyammabigfoot" at Parkes in September now.
