Silly Cheapskate Question About Expired Gels

I was going through my pantry and I discovered some Endura and GU energy gels that I thought I would use for Ourimbah this weekend.

The problem is, the gels expired in 2006.

Errr ... for the sake of saving a few dollars, is it worth taking the risk by using them? I'm cheap and I hate to see food go to waste.

PS: At worst they won't work. $3:50 is to much to throw out, go for it I say!

Sugar goes on forever. I have yet to find a pack on M&Ms in my Army ration packs that are not expired. I've eaten them "one weekend a month" for the last 3 years and I'm still alive Smiling

the same way baby food in small bottles is food.

Thanks for all the input guys. Looks like I'll be bringing my expired gels to Ourimbah.
