over the last couple of weeks that even if the dam wasn't officially closed that any locals would be staying away to avoid unnecessary damage to a heavily used, sensitive trail.

I would suggest if you have to get out for a ride hit one of the well drained fire trails around Terry Hills.

JFTR, I have not seen anything official re the dam being closed but please use your common sense.

Cheers

going to look like on Sat????? Even if it is open its not going to be good at all. The weather forecast says showers on and off till then. We would need some blistering hot days before then to dry it out and there probably wont be any considering the current state of the weather.

Dare i say it.. should we consider an alternative???

maybe? Lorrie surely someone can lend you a Specialized to ride for the day, maybe one near the end of its warranty and the owner wants to get a newer frame?

seems to drain rather well and as long as you are sensible i am sure it will be fine - i rode it last wednesday night and there was hardly a puddle in sight...

I walked my dog around the Allambie side on Monday arvo and the track on that side had puddles everywhere so I would think the Dam trails would need a bit of dry time, as others have mention plenty of good trails up around terry hills which drain well.
