32gb should be plenty although it does depend on what setting you are recording on. From memory though if you're recording 720p widescreen and you have a 32gb card you will run out of battery before you run out of card. (assuming standard battery size). I'm also assuming you remove all video from the GoPro each night and start with an empty card.

Having said all that though MaxFacta would probably know better on run times.

If you're still worried set it up for one button on and you'll save battery by switching it off for the boring bits.

If you are recording video or timelapse 1080HD photos, might be different.
I used video at 720/60frames and got 1.7Gb per 15min.
I use a sandisk 32Gb and have to charge up the battery many times before even getting close to filling the card.

Definitely break up a long ride into smaller sections, better for viewing/editing.

32GB is good for about 4 hours at 1080p. Battery lasts about 1.5-1.8 hours between charges at that resolution.

I tend to run 720p at 60fps, which seems to get slightly better battery life.

The most annoying thing is the eternity it takes to load hi-res stuff up to GoobTube Sad

Get a class 10 card.

Thanks for the advice

Yeah, I bought my GoPro a couple of weeks a go.

Definetly worth getting a 32gb Class 10 (GoPro recommends class 4 minimum)

I got 32gb class 6 I think that's how fast it converts everything.......I should be right going to film in stages don't really want to film me crawling the first major.then burn it all to cd so its sequential if you get my drift play back is all right on ps3 from go to woe....

And have to change the batteries twice (in normal weather) before I run out of card. I'm usually shooting 720 at 48fps on the gopro.

At 1080 (highest setting) I would go through 1 battery before I filled a card, but that was in the snow, where battery life is lower.

Basically always carry a second battery & spare card, then you'll never miss anything (as long as you remember to change them at the right time Smiling

Don't forget to take a laptop & make sure it has room on the HDD so you can download at the end of each day, it's amazing how quickly storage space fills up when shooting at 1080.
