Look Out At The Dam

Finished the Dam today about 11am and some muppet on a motorcross came tearing out from the labs at a good pace.

He went up towards the school and looped back down King St, then headed straight down the exit of the dam, over the small bridge and up the steps / wooden slats (from what I could tell by the sound of the engine).

He didn't stop to see if anyone was coming down and would have done some damage had he collided with anyone.

Didn't have time to get details, assuming he had rego as he was riding on the road. Anyway, keep an eye out and if anyone hears a crosser get your camera out, pull over and be ware.

Can't believe anyone would try to get away with riding a motorbike around the dam !!! Hey what is the conditioin of the dam after the rain?

A few puddles here and there but ride through them an they're fine.

More rain expected tonight but not too much , so I think it'll be fine after a few dry days next week.

Thanks for the update. I did 2 laps today. Great day for a ride and no motorbikes or attacks by the butcher bird.

Right in the face - big cut down the tip of my nose and blood dripping from it for half a lap!

First lap, noticed all the warning signs posted on the street but ignored them then .... swooop! Little b#stard cut me right down my nose, surprising lots of blood. My advice ... go the long way round.

I was also attacked by the bird near the school. Took skin off my nose and drew blood! I wan't sure if it was a magpie or myna? This was 2 weeks ago. Last Sunday I walked that section (where the signs are) but didn't see the little bugger.

Check this thread out as it's been covered a lot (the little bugger has hit a lot of people).
