Discarded Tubes Manly Dam
To the individuals discarding their tubes on the trails at Manly Dam today or anywhere, sort your selves out. Surely if you are prepared enough to have spares with you and take the time to replace a flat ! take your rubbish with you. I picked up one at the eightenth hole and one at the playground.
End rant

Well said Boris. I picked up another tube on the Oaks yesterday.
Still haven't worked out why someone would leave a Maxxis CrossMark 29" tyre on the single track.
I pick 'em up - they make great chainstay protectors
Most of them have been dropped, not discarded.
Some people ride with their spares hanging off their packs or from under the saddle and eventually they shake loose and hit the ground. I have actually caught some up to riders with open camelbalks, asked a few questions, and then returned their stuff.
A few weeks ago I returned a dog lead to a dog walker who still had the dog but didn't realise the lead was missing
Discarded tubes - Great to have around in case of a snake bite!
Does annoy me too - you see it in Akuna bay for roadies as well so not limited to MTB - don't understand the mentality unless its an accident.
No excuse for any of it, discarded or lost from a backpack..... i am sure if they lost their multi tool we would find a thread in the lost area of this forum, i bet you wouldnt find the same for a tube..... what am i trying to say, people dont care if they lose tubes as it hasnt cost as much as their multi tool so its as good as discarding it if you ask me.
If your prepared to carry it, make sure its secure.
