NZO 24hr or 12hr or 100km April 5 and 6
entries are now open for the NZO 24hr weekend, you can choose between 24hr, 12hr and 100km race.
I did the 24hr in 07 and was alot of fun, short track of about 10km long, fairly flat, only a few smallish hills to negotiate, bit of single track, fire trail the usual stuff.
I dont really want to camp overnight this year so i am thinking of just doing the 100km option (10 laps i guess it will be)
Discounts are available of 10% at the moment if you enter before Jan 5.

Niiiiiice... who else is keen?
Options for 24Hr are Solo/Pair/Fours/Sixes, although the daylight and 100Km events also sound interesting.
Decisions, decisions. Was talking to Carlgroover about this the other day - he says the track is nice, and give it's private and not able to be ridden any other time... well... why not!
i reckon the course would be fairly cyclocross friendly (if its like last yr), fairly smooth in most parts with only a few technical bits (could walk these sections if neded)
I should have my Jake the snake well before then, think i might pump out a few laps on it while on the way to the 100km.
Take yours Rob - you know you want to

Very cyclo-cross friendly, somebody even installed a cyclo-cross barrier section
I'll be there for the 4th time, and if I can start doing some serious training I'll have my second crack at solo, one thing I can say about solo is it certainly leaves a lasting memory. Gotta try the gel seat padding next time though.
I have always enjoyed the race, the track being a lot of fun, the atmosphere is good and they have a band playing in the evening.

"Believe it or not, non-cyclists sometimes think they have something interesting to say!"
Anybody noticed that this is cancelled?
Benny
And 3 of went and did the 24hr solo race at Majura Canberra instead.
