I saw this ride get posted and having never done cascades before i am very keen. That being said, I came off last Sunday (doing a wheelie clipped in) and ended up in Mona Vale hospital requiring xrays. All ended up ok so I am assesing myself doing an easy lap of the dam tomorrow and will keep you posted.

.....thanks Rob. I have done the Cascades before but not like this. 2 hours, 17kms, 500 vertical mtrs and 4 peaks (Belrose, St Ives, Davidson and Quarry Track)....We enjoyed this so much (hahaha) we will make this a regualr weekly.

Thanks guys for a great ride. I will be very skinny be the end of summer.

Cheers
Olaf

Sorry I didn't make it guys, too lazy

but I agree, its become a real favourite of my, my "regular" weekly ride Smiling

Remember though your ultimate fat burn heart rate is around 60-70% of you Max HR which is 220-(YOUR AGE).

So Cascades end up being more of a fitness ride. Which is also a good thing.. and the waterbars serve as good fartlek training Smiling

Sorry guys, but... after all those hills down in the Snowies Cascades suddenly didn't seem such a problem. (OK - punch me next time we meet Eye-wink)

A new challenge came out of this though, lap 2 I will post as my effort at Quarry Track Climb.

Enjoyed that ride guys, my legs are little heavy this morning but hopefully they'll be right for Manly Dam tomorrow.

Look forward to cascades pt2!

Great ride. After all those hills I actually pulled up ok this morning and my back didn't seem to suffer. Rob, after looking at the profile and seeing your bpm I have a long way to go, who's posting the next one.

I have just cleaned my NRS ready for the next tour of Cascades which hopefully will be easier then the Six 3.
